Oughtred & Harrison (Shipping) Limited have offices located at all deep sea ports and each one has the facilities to arrange the customs clearances for all import and export traffics when necessary.

Experienced staff are employed in the customs clearance departments and depending on the local working practices are normally able to arrange import clearances within a short period after the arrival of the goods.

The staff undergo regular training, in line with company policy, to keep abreast of any changes in Customs procedures.

We offer ERTS facilities, which is commonly used for import containers. This in effect means that goods that make part of a consolidated load are not delayed due to any other consignments not being able to be cleared for whatever reason.

For any import freight movements under our control we ensure that our overseas partners notify us well in advance of arrival to enable the customs paperwork to be prepared accordingly.
